Valuations

Q. How are the wines priced?

The prices quoted on the site are current market valuations supplied to Corney & Barrow by Liv-Ex. Liv-ex valuations are based on live data from the Liv-ex fine wine exchange. The exchange is used by all of the major wine traders globally - 420 members across 35 countries - to both check prices and to trade. For more information please refer to liv-ex.com .

Q. How does Corney & Barrow value wine?

At Corney & Barrow current market valuations are taken into consideration when valuing wine, we also look at condition, packaging and provenance.

Q. How can i get my wine valued by Corney & Barrow?

Simply select “Broking Valuation Request” (located in the “Action”) column, a pop up window will appear. Select the amount of cases you wish to be delivered and add to basket.

If you want to add different wines to the basket, this is your opportunity to do so by following the same process. If you do not want to add more wines, refer to “basket” (located at the top right hand corner of the page) and select “Broking Valuation Request” in the drop down.

You can add some notes to the valuation request – such as contact details, then select “confirm”.

The Corney & Barrow broking team will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Q. Why don't i have liv-ex prices for all my wines?

As LIV-EX prices are based on current market data, not all wines will have a market value. Wines that have never been traded before will not have a LIV-EX price

WINE DELIVERY

Q. How can i get my wine delivered?

Simply select “delivery request” (located in the “Action”) column, a pop up window will appear, select the amount of cases you wish to be delivered and add to basket. If you want to add different wines to the basket, this is your opportunity to do so by following the same process, if not, refer to “basket” located at the top right hand corner of the page and select “delivery request” in the drop down select “confirm” then add a postcode and a house number.

Please add any important notes such as delivery “in bond” to an alternative “in-bond” warehouse (please note we can only deliver “in-bond” to an official “in-bond” warehouse).

You will receive a confirmation of your delivery request via your registered email within 48 hours of requesting a delivery. Your wine will still show on your reserves until the day after we process the request.

Cellar Analysis

Q. What is cellar analysis?

Cellar analysis is a consolidated, summary view of all your cellar(s) and their key breakdowns. If you have only one cellar it comprises a breakdown of all the wines in that cellar by key parameters.

Q. How do i export my list of wines?

To export your list of wines, simply select "Download List" (located above "wine name") and you will be give the choice of either excel or CSV.

Q. Some of my data is incorrect, what can i do?

If you notice any discrepancies with your data, please contact us either by email: reserves@corneyandbarrow.com or telephone us on 0207 265 2400 (office hours are between 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday).
